Today on Lake .Kissimmee a friend fishing for crappie caught on a chartreuse jig a 11 inch GOLD crappie with 3 black spots. It was a georgous speckbutwas as gold asitcould be.

To my knowledge there are no hybrids ever put into Kissimmee - 11 in would make him/her about 2 1/2 yrs old
None of the FWC guys are know - know of any hybrids -crossbreeds
Mixed with a Red fish:biggrin
Kissimmee is a freshwater lake - no salt intrusion anywhere
I know, just meant to be a funny. By the way Texas has a couple of places stocked with reds in fresh water. They are one of the few salt fish that can live in fresh water.Quote:
