I just got my new shiny Helix 9 SI/GPS and am pumped about it! It's HUGE compared to my 899! Now I have a question. How do I upgrade transducer? Where do I mail it? How much? How long does it normally take (ballpark)? I was told to never take it out of its plastic wrapper. Mine came in the box with the rest of the stuff but....it was not in its own plastic wrapper. Thanks in advance for any advice!
It's normal for the xducer to be simply coiled ...
The transom mounting hardware bag must remain unopened ...
Call HB to set up the xducer exchange ...

When I tried with my 899 they told me after the fact that the exchange would take over a month if not more. I wasnt told that on the phone when I called originally. Čalled to ask where it was severel weeks later they told me it would still be weeks or more so I had them send mine back. Depending on their back up it could take a while.
I sent Humminbird my transducer they got it on 2/8/16 and 2/16/16 I had the new exchanged one. That is just 7 working day so I'd rate them an A+ shipping. The lady at humminbird was very helpful and real nice. The cost was $85.00 placed on my Discover card.
