Ice fish-n report 1-27 pics
Jack heard the crappies were hitting out there so we wen't out got to his brother's shanty and cranked up the heat. It was nice to fish in a shanty for a change, the cold windy weather and a sore hip made it easy for me to stay lazy, so i just fished one hole today. Got a few crappies right away.
For some reason they wanted big lures today, I caught my keepers on a perch pattern salmo chubby darter. Smaller jigs got more bites, but small sized fish though, except Jack got a nice slab on The jig, but he cheated and tipped it with a maggot! a couple of smaller walleyes and sunfish came through, we missed a few that might have been bigger wallys. Fishin was kinda slow but nice to just relax stay warm and not have to work! :cool: :cool:
