Any one know how to make your trolling motor quieter
Now I have not done this myself so do it at your own risk. Maybe this will help. How to tune a trolling motor:

Quiet to you or quiet to the fish? What kind of motor is it?
I've seen posts for a new prop nut that, when installed to your trolling motor is supposed to quiet it (for the fish) and prolong battery life.
And I'm betting, if you say "Motor Guide" Someone will say "buy a Minn Kota" or vice versa!!!!
Depends on where the noise is coming from & why. :scratchhead And like some others have said ... may depend on what "type" of trolling motor you have.Quote:

That can not only slow your trolling motor down, make it work harder, and possibly even create noise ... it can eat your seal away, allowing water to get into the lower unit & damaging your motor. (and while you're at it, check under the prop of the big motor, too !! )
