sometimes when one is properly prepared one might get to go on a boat ride . case in point ....lil one puts on her water shoes and rain jacket and she then tries to climb in the ole ss minnow before i get out of the driveway ......:biggrin
of course she has had a cold and went to the doctor friday so no she didnt get to go on a boat ride . but she wanted to real bad and it was difficult to tell her not this trip sweety . i grabbed a bud on the way out west and we went to a mudhole lake that never cleared up from the spring and fall flooding . it just decided to stay muddy forever is my guess . anyway we went WAY up in a creek there and found fish . we also found fish in open water as well . but in the end due to whatever the reasons the fish were less than cooperative and we had to work pretty hard just to ketch a handful of lil ones :banghead
sometimes as you can clearly see in the last photo (open water) i kinda wish i had 14 rods and 14 dozen minnows like them spider riggin folks....so we wasnt prepared for that scenario at all .....
we bumped fish in the noses with jigs for 3 hours and only got bit once in a a blue moon ....
so .... in the end sometimes prepared or not...... ketchin them crappie can be rather difficult
