Getogather in June ?????????

Hey guys when we bait catfish holes on Nimrod in June ,they are fantastic. We catch lots of good eating Channel Catfish. Would anyone consider helping bait a hole and bringing a party barge for a group fishing trip/getogather then ? We could fry up a big mess ,drink a few cold ones , and exchange fish stories while pulling out those catfish. Just a suggestion ,what do ya'll think ?:D :confused: Oh yea ,the same spots will usually yield a few Crappie as we bait near channel drops and cover.:cool:

Sounds like a good plan. when in June? would be nice to return to Nimrod it has been a While.

Anytime around the middle of June. If we bait a hole for several days ahead of time we generally wear out the cats. They are hungry just leaving their nests. :D

My June and July are just about booked already. Got weddings and camping trips with the toon planned. Most of the time the freezer is full by then and it is time to start messing with the grand kids and socializing.

It sure sounds good to me. Food, beer, and some good BS. Who cares if the fish are biteing. Wish I could offer my barge as the boat we use but someone liked my trailer more than I did so I am stuck on Ouachita.

Gooch, you couldn't use a trailer for a 26' Beachcomber could you? Just curious....??

If my calendar will permit it, that sound like something I'd really like to do.

We usually catch a bunch of Channel Catfish every summer. I usually feed them in 3 or more spots. It's normal to catch fish up to 6lbs and bigger ,but most are 1 to 3 lbers. It's a blast and it's easier to visit while Catfishing. Was thinking it would be great to meet more forum members. Maybe some members could take home information to their home waters and do good there. One day last summer we landed 57 off one spot .:D It picks up when the crappie start slowing down.
