90's Mariner EFI
I acquired a 150 EFI Mariner motor on a BassBoat Freshwater used. It hasnt been run in 18 months. I know with carbs motors i would go thru the carburetors but with the fuel injectors model 2 stroke, would I need to send the injectors out for cleaning? I will replace the fuel lines and fuel pump.
Thanks,

I would just to be on the safe side. One injector off a little could cost you a piston. Not worth it.

The most common issue with EFI engines and storage is corrosion in the VST (the large aluminum tank that buzzes when the key is turned on). A drain screw can be found at the bottom of the tank, drain and try to capture some of the fuel in a glass jar in order to get an idea of fuel quality or the presence of water. The good news is that that motor mixes the fuel with oil before entering the VST (providing a level of corrosion protection) so it should be ok unless it was fed a steady diet of ethanol blended fuel. As for the injectors. I would mix a small container of non-ethanol fuel with a 100:1 oil mix and either "Yamaha Ring Free" or Quicksilver's fuel cleaner and run it through the engine first. (Idle speed to no more than 3000rpm) If the system and injectors are ok, it will start up and run. If it sat with water saturated fuel, it probably has seized the high pressure pump. Those injectors are very resilient.

Thanks Guys. I found the motor had an updated cowling. It's a carbed model. He said he ran the motor and disconnected the fuel line. I open a couple of the carb drain screws and all were empty. I'm going to open the Carbs to be on the safe side and hope the gaskets are ok. The Kits are 90 bucks each!
