Does anyone make or know where I can get a 1/8 oz version of the creek spin jig head? Southernpro only has them in the 1/16 size.

Striker King/Mr Crappie/Wally Marshall is selling them now as the Slab Baby in 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 ... but $3 a pop is way too much

Get some lead wire and wrap the hook shank and/or wire form to add more weight. That is what I do for fishing some local creeks when the current is up.
You can go cheaper by using a beetle spin frame and just change the jig size. but like Shmang said lead wire wrap would work too, just make sure to wrap it tight. but, if that cost's $3!! I'll definately stick with beetle spins!
I really like the 1/16 creek spins, and would like to have some in 1/8. I use the heck out of the 1/16 size, just want something heavier for when I need to go deeper, it's windy, etc. I also use underspins, but for me the creek spin works better and catches more fish.
adding weight to them works, but the spinner blade is already almost too small for 1/16 oz. And the beetle spin type is what I've been using in 1/8 and 3/16 oz, but they tend to tangle up a lot more often than the creek spins.
I'll find what I want, if nothing else Mr Crappie is selling a 1/8 and 1/4 version, rigged.
Arkie at bottom of page has the spinner's and frames use any size jighead. Now the secret out.They work great.
I've been using the Arkie frames and blades for a while now and while not perfect they have put lots of fish in the boat. Booyah sells some and there's another maker that has 1/8 offerings that come with a skirt that I remove and add what I want. The heads are round but the fish don't seem to care. Color choices are good too.

I just watched the Krappie Kings show. They were using the 1/8 oz Spin Baby and tearing up the crappie.

I have a boxful of the spinner frames that take a standard jighead. I like the one piece style like the creek spin as it doesn't tangle nearly as often.
Ok Warhawk try this. I used to fish spinner baits a lot bas fishing and on smaller baits I would just put a small worm weight on the line before the spinner bait. Gives you the extra weight you need without impacting the action of the small bait.
