Humminbird cable and terrova fail

Ok guys I failed. :banghead I mounted my transducer on my terrova and ran the wire up through the notch in the shaft. I used Locktite Marine epoxy and glued the transducer wire the length of the shaft. When I put the shaft back in the motor housing I realized the wire had not stuck in the epoxy. now I have a transducer cable flopping around in the groove.

My question is what Brand of glue are you using to bond everything together. I am going to have to take everything apart again and dremel out the glue in the groove :banghead so I want to get it right the second time. Thanks Bo

Goop Marine Sealant

I just used clear rtv. It has worked for over a year. I didn't want anything too permanent. I just switched out transducers from a di to si and the cable came out easy and I used rtv again.

Black Permatex from Autozone. Been on mine for 3 years no troubles. Squeeze the tube down the depression in the shaft and press transducer cable in it. After you have done that wrap the length of the shaft with electric tape letting it dry overnight.

Goop marine has worked great for me

Black Permatex works great no problems so far .

I used PC super epoxy that I got at rural King . It's a two part that comes in a big syringe. It's waterproof and has held up perfect for three years now. It does dry white however and that bugged me so I got a small bottle of black automotive touch up paint and painted over it , that has held up as well, never had to touch up since. I've used same stuff for other projects and it seems like pretty good stuff.
