Well the lake was almost 20' above normal. Glad to see them starting to release it. Hey DrPepper as soon as we get a good report maybe we can hoist a few Crappie.:D But with no rain it will take over 3 weeks to get the lake down.:(

They are supposed to be generating at full capacity around the clock at Greeson but it is only dropping 0.4-feet a day so it is going to be a while before it gets back anywhere close to where it should be.
Hamilton has cleared up a lot but the fish still aren't cooperating very well. Caught 8 different species of fish there today though if that counts for anything - white crappie, black crappie, drum, spotted bass, bream, hybrid white bass, white bass and yellow bass.
That's good atleast it's something pulling on your line. Nimrod really stinks with the water falling ,even more so in winter. I'm setting on go as soon as conditions are better those Crappie better watch out.:DQuote:

Hey there DP,
They look like they are dropping the lake about a foot a day. The Fourche River is running pretty swift.
I agree with Nimrod that it will take a couple more weekends to get the lake down to winter level. I plan on starting my fishing on the weekend after the Superbowl.
I sure wanted to build some brushpiles with you guys but my work gets pretty busy around the first of the year. Maybe we can get together and do a few some other time.;)
We had a little better trip on Hamilton yesterday, especially considering we only fished from noon to 5:00. We caught two of our best crappie and a couple more off the condos we just put in this week - another indication that they are on the move and looking for a new place to hang out.
They are still only dropping Greeson 0.5-feet/day so it's going to be a while. The fishing IS tough when the water is falling for sure.
Hey Slabbandit the lake is not fallin quite that fast, I wish it was. Try this link to get hourly lake level reports.Quote:

It can't fall fast enough to suit me right now.
Thanks Nimrod, I saved that web address in my favorites. A lot more accurate info than looking at the lake while driving down the hi-way!:)
ALLRIGHT!!!!!!!! They are really drawing Nimrod down fast!:D Slabbandit have you checked? I appears it's dropping about 1 and 1/3 ft a day now! Now if the weather will just cooperate and warm up a bit ! If you want some of those pink jigs holler and we might place an order soon.:D
Man , Slabbandit have you check the water? They dropped it 1.57 ' in the last 24 hours! They are letting it out and it seems to be gaining momentum.:D
We only have less than 10' to go to reach 342'.
