Tough for crappie lacygne 1 23 16

Had reports from my inlaws since monday that the fish werent active and found out for myself today.

Launched at 7am. Fished until 11 am and 3 keepers and i think 3 dinks at the discharge/dam. No other boats showed up so they probably knew the fishing isnt good. Saw a boat behind us. Another boat way on the west end by the rocks and another boat that parked over the suspended bridge. Not sure how they did.

Weather forecast showed 2 mph winds and up to 37 degrees and sunshine. Stayed cloudy all day with winds getting over 10mph by my guess and temps stayed low 20s.

So one good weekend followed by a not very good weekend.

The outlet might be recovering from the pounding it takes this time of year....I know I've caught alot of crappie up there in the past and at times has been one of the best "hotspots" I've ever fished.

Thanks for the report hope you have better luck next time I am headed to Kaw lake Tueday pm will fish wed thu and fri. weather looks like it will be okay.

The saturday before this was great and it seems like the cold front coming in just killed it. Oh well. Sometimes you are at the right place at the right time and sometimes you arent.
