bait cast for spider rigging

I am looking to pick up some rods for spider rigging but I want to use some bait casting reels I picked up on the cheap. Are there 12 to 14 ft. rods that are better suited for bait casting reels than spinning? I don't want the reels to be upside down when in use.

yes they will stay upright on any spinning rod
