Abe's BBQ

I posted about this place on another thread but the food was good I thought I'd start a thread about this place.

Drove to Abe's BBQ in Clarksdale today and ate. Gooooooood food!!!

Abe's was on the Chowdown Countdown top 101 places in the country to eat. Had several places from Sippi on it. Lori and I went and man was it good. If you've never been, it's a "Gotta Try It" place. We really enjoyed it. Had a BBQ sandwich plate and Chili Cheese Tamales. The burgers are to die for, but that's gonna be another day!!! We will be back there!!! Bought a bottle of their BBQ sauce. It's Killer!!!!!!!

Several years ago when Desoto would turn on and get hot. We would fish and stay in Clarksdale for two or three nights. Abe's was always a must stop on our list. Their Q and tamales are great the vinegar based sauce is excellent. Good memories about great fishing and fantastic food.

I'll get a cousin to bring some up on their next trip.

The only place I've been in clarksdale is ground zero blues.

Grew up in the delta and the only Q sauce we used was homemade vinegar based with lemons, worchester, and other good stuff. I'm gonna put that place on my list.

You should have called me and I could have met you there for lunch. It is the only place in town that I go to often. Krogers in Clarksdale handles their BBQ sauce on the shelf.
