now in know why one of my friends was at the St. johns river ....hahaha i wondered why a boy from texas would drive all that way to ketch a crappie ...

The way I understand it, a few of the lakes up river have some salinity. The river flows north, goes out into the ocean at Jacksonville. I've heard there are salt water springs here that feed the river though too. But don't really think the tide has any impact at all this far down.Quote:
