wylie today, report.
Put in about 8:30 am, looking for perch, going to cat fish some in the next few weeks, looked all morning, didn't find any wanting to bite! the south fork is coming in muddy! It is muddy all the way down below crowders creek, thats as far south as I went, Cat fished all afternoon, it is clear up above south point landing, caught 8 or 9 cats, nothing over 10 lbs, never did get into the perch good. water temp 48. Does any one know where the perch are?

Only way I come close to perch in winter is hunting for the birds
-
I guess perch and most all fish stay at home in muddy weather

Cold, high, heavily stained water puts the fish on the bottom in my experiences. Exact opposite during warm weather, water conditions. The fish will go to shallow water, or will rise to the first couple of feet in the water column regardless of water depth.
