Got some kinda SKUNKED today we did .....
a bud hollars at me and says , hey ketchn ya wanna go hammer some sandbass aka (white bass) up under a bridge ?He says we took 50 fat keeper "sandies" out of there yesterday and its darn near every cast ! I told him I had a lunch date with my other half and couldn't go . He said oh come on , just an hour and then take of to lunch with her . I looked at my clock and said ok ok ok ...its 11 and I have to be there at 1 ,so I got like one hour max brother . Well we get there and not a soul around ? I guess the word aint quite out yet maybe ?
so we set up and pitch a bit ...3 foot under a float and NOTHING ? I drop to 4 foot and KABOOM ...a crappie ? what the heck ? and we began ketchin them every cast .....totally hammered them crappie black and white darn near every cast for an hour solid plus a bit ...last cast syndrome ya know ...after 60 er so it slowed down some ....left em biting we did ......anyway it was the best ever SKUNK I ever got handed to me ......rotfl
we were both using natural colors and there was a bit of current to deal with , all the crappie were holding in protected areas out of the main current ....all the fish were released ....
he says uh oh ....selfie season brother ....I said oh yeah ....
