Sad day
So Sophie out last dachshund pup has aggressive bladder cancer (wasn't there Friday---there today) she got weak in the rear last week and thought it was her back issue. Had her in the crate all week and today she was passing lots of blood.
She's 13 so we won't do chemo but will do what the vet wants us to for a week and see where we end up but I know what we'll have to do. It really sucks and Melissa is really tore up. Sophie was actually the first pup I bought myself and got her for Melissa for Christmas back then. Worst part is from the hind end forward she is just like the pup we bought. That makes it the most heart wrenching. Prayers if you could for Sophie AND Melissa please.

Will say a prayer. My wife and I are dog people. It's no consolation, but we just have to accept sometimes that their lives are limited to just a part of ours normally. We have lived long enough now we have had a few. You can never replace one....you just start over with a new friend. They need us as much as we need them.

You won't believe this, but we had to put our 14 year old Viszla down Saturday. Had cancer somewhere for a while, lost a bunch of weight and drank all the time. Up all night Friday throwing up blood. Really hard on our 14 year old son, grew up with her. Hang in there man, tell Mel hello and keep remembering the good times!
