Thanks Beagle for sharing .
You know I don't care about the length limit on crappie but it would be nice to have a length limit on Aholes and the boats they drive... expecially when they're coming back in the fishing coves! Just sayn so that's my :twocents:fish
Deb
no problem here
Thanks Beagle and Dan, I like the 10" rule, It gives you a better filet.
Well I drive a fair distance to fish and love to eat crappie. The expenditures I have to enjoy fish is enough that if all I can find is 9-9.5 in fish I do not mind cleaning and eating them. I do not mind 10in. rules but believe lots of folks who maybe really watch their expenditures and want to get some fish for themselves or for the kids to catch do not need a larger length limit. I do not think the eating quality of a crappie is determined by size I love all of them.
agree 100% and I could go either way on this. I would like to see the size get better but I also don't mind eating a 9 inch fish bc the smaller fillets fry better IMO. I have noticed the past few years that the size at LOZ has gotten a lot better but IDK why. I remember, i think, around 2011 to 2012 the size was not good for me. With everything being said the size at the LOZ is not bad at all, just look at what it takes to win a Crappie Masters.
I would like to see a 10in. limit on all Mo. lakes.
