According to several videos I have watched it took, 2 years to plan, 4 additional years to build at at cost of 3.5 million Euros or roughly 4 million US dollars.
The model is 1/87 scale and consists of 40 airlines, with 360 flights a day.
The rest of the model consists of 15,000 figures, 75 buildings and 90 vehicles all are hand made on site by the staff.
This thing operates 10 hours a day.
