I have a standing for my boat. If the water is 55 or below you wear a life jacket or dont get in!
I'm not that sure on this but my understanding is that those floating Arctic Armour suits are not considered as life jackets - so if you are wearing a floating suit and don't have a life jacket on board you can get gigged if checked by a CO.
You are correct but still the suit will keep you up better than a life jacket
I wear Arctic Armor too. It is the warmest stuff i have put on. They claimed it floats, but i did not want to put all my eggs in basket on their word. So..... I jumped in! they do work, just as advertised!
Yes I tested it out in the summer of 13 I think you could jump in with and anchor and you would still float.. Yes it is very warm. Need to wear breathable base layers under the suit..
