Report on Lake D'Arbonne 1/2/2016

Josh and I fished Lake D'Arbonne today. Fished at Terral Island, on the edge of the Channel 20 FOW fishing 12-14 feet deep. We caught 8 and kept 6. Smallest weighed 1 pound and the largest weighed 1 pound 9 ounces. Largest one was 14 inches long. Sent a pic to Momma and she said, "I'll get the grease ready"! There ain't nothing like fresh Crappie right out of cold water! Here's some pics:

Yes, there is some current down that way. When your by a Channel Marker you can really see it moving. Water is very muddy.

I saw you guys down there today. I came by you bout 2. I caught 9 today on jigs tipped with shiners. Beautiful day to fish.

Ya'll fishing jigs, shiners, or crankbaits. :biggrin Just wondering. Trying to decide where to go Monday. Thinking either D'Arbonne or Claiborne. :dono
