Are there any regulations concerning sinking Christmas trees , etc in The Rez?
Only one. You give me the GPS cords for them. Lol. I've put out bamboo a few times and many others have as well. Just use common sense where you put them. So many boats all over the place so be careful they're in deep enough water no one hits them.
Thanks, question #2, is it legal to fish in the channel? Or should I find a place outside the channel markers to deploy a fish attractor?
Absolutely legal to fish in the navigation channel. It's aggravating sometimes with heavy boat traffic but lots of fish to be caught in spots. Like DD said make sure you don't place anything in a spot that would be considered a hazard. However, I really think you would have much better success finding a good spot in one of the old lake beds.
Lots of old channels off the boat channel up the lake. Get a good lake map and use your GPS and depth finder to pick what you think is a good spot. I've got done in pelahatchie bay snd on themail lake. Bamboo in a cinder block that I filled with 60 pounds on concrete. 75-80 pounds will hold it pretty good
Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. I've just renovated my deck and have a bunch of old treated two by's that I can cut up. That ought to give me something to do on the cold rainy days ahead.
Not sure treated wood will work. Least not for a few years. Depends on what it's treated with. Creosote puts off toxic chemicals that will keep small baitfish away so no baitfish, no crappie
