Mermentau River-12-20-15

Well went out to the Mermentau on Sunday after doing 2 out of 3 coin toss Saturday (while leaning towards Henderson) on whether to head out to Henderson or Mermentau with Mermentau being the winner and wouldn't you know it "NOT A BITE".Water was somewhat muddy and found a couple of oxbows with reasonable clear water.Fished for 4 hrs and finally called it a day after drowning shiners.Still was a better day than having to work.Next time will head out to Henderson which couldn't have been worst.Hope to see you guys soon on the water and remember to keep "sucking em up):fish

Sounds like you have adopted my crappie fishing theology, "save them until next time." LOL. One thing is for sure a bad day on the water is better than a very good day at home. LOL. I'm sure you will catch them next time.

Thanks for the report MCD. This time of the year is Twilight Zone for me. Last year at this time I was doing good at Palmetto, but this year it's not happening. I feel like hibernating until the spawn, but I won't let myself.

You didn't miss anything at henderson on Sunday. Not a bite for me.

Good to know.Been having sleepless nights since fishing Mermentau and wondering if I should have went to Henderson.Now should sleep like a baby.LOL!!
