Sorting it out today 12/19 Wylie report

I hit the water about 7:15 this morning there was nip in the air so I made a short run and put some lines in the water. I tight lined around mainly looking for brush so I can put my sister on fish next week when she comes down.
First fish this morning was in 19ft of water she was a 13" fish, then the perch started eating two at a time, I sorted thru perch an green carp about 14" and a cat about 16" and perch and perch and perch. I caught fish in 12" to 40' of water they didn't seem to care.
Every Crappie today was at least 10" not one needed to be returned to the water

Water temp 56%
End of the day I had 7 crappie, one green carp one cat nd apple of perch. Maybe I need to get a cat and feed in perch?Attachment 223553Attachment 223553

My crappie spots are so secret even I can't find them

I found a brush pile with my hooks 3 times and still didn't mark anything on the sonar.
I forgot to mention the bi crappie and a couple of the perch had egg sacks. Isn't that too early/late in the year?

It's on time, March they will be ready and waiting on the water temperature to change and head to the banks. :popcorn

Good possibility you got on a PVC brushpile as PVC doesn't show up good on sonar. Ive found eggs in crappie in late October, not a big sack, so yes the eggs are on time.

What is the water clarity?

Stay away from my PVC piles. They in my super secret spots.

That pile will be easy to spot next time with all the metal I hung in them they'll look like a Christmas tree. 8 Hooks and 4 bell weighs.
Interesting that they carry the eggs for 4 months or longer. i wonder if their mood changes? &*$
