Go by Academy in Tupelo and see if they have them. Both stores up in collerville and olive branch have them. Pretty decent looking rod for the money.
^^^I was gonna say check Academy. They stock em here and seem decent. Never fished one though.
They are cheaper than Walmart. Was wondering if anyone has had their hands on one.
Brad Chappel had a picture of the display announcing these new rods at ICast if I am not mistaken, he had good things to say about them. Be hard pressed to get me to give up my Southerns!!!
I may be wrong about this, stand by the second part tho.:biggrin
I have picked a couple up and shook them. They seem heavier than my Southern Crappies and seem to have a pretty hippy tip which might mean really light tip. Here is a trick I use when checking a pole I might be interested in if I can put my hands on it. Take a good sized snap swivel and tie a short peice of line and add the amount of weight you would use most of the time. Hook it to tip guide then hold it out and see how it feels, then pop it up a couple of times and see how it reacts. I'm like Rees, wouldn't trade my Southern's for them.
