Pa. House OKs bill to allow $25 bounty on coyotes | Local News - WTAE Home

I am a trapper mainly for Red Fox. There are very few yotes in my trapping area. From the guys who are very experienced with them and even field biologist suggest this will not help and from past experiences it is a waste of time and money. According to them, the size of surviving litters depends on habitat and needs. So if this is true when you take 10 from a area Mom has 10 to replace them. I guess if this does go through then I may adjust my trapping area somewhat to take a little of the $25.00 bounty.
Date on that article is from 2013. This was proposed but never passed.
Okay, thanks for the info. Why is everyone just now hearing about it though?
It was brought back up last year and everyone keeps talking about it on chat lines and such. There is still some talk as I understand it. I was told by a friend 2 months ago that it was passed and true. I have yet to confirm that. ?????? Personally I do not think it will ever happen in Pa. It would take extra revenue to support it and there are many bad points to be considered and perhaps none that proves it would work. This is from my reading not personal first had knowledge.
