Bottom Bouncing
I've had some ask me what is my definition of bottom-bouncing. I found the illustration below online and it is very close to what I use. The difference is I come up 15" and tie a 3" loop., then up another 15". If the water temp's ever get cold enough, this is a good rig in the Winter. Don't try this in Badin lake because I lost about 25 of these rigs over there.

Very good winter rig if you can get your crew to pay attention and adjust depths accordingly.

That is the rig I almost always use for live bait. I use to do like a carolina rig and then tie a loop about a foot above the weight for the second hook, but the bottom free hook seems to get wrapped up a lot if you are fishing deeper.

I believe it was called a Kentucky Rig.
I used that set up for several years when deep fishing for winter crappie with a lot of success until I started jigging brush piles.

the rig in the illustration is called a drop shot........bottom bouncing is totally different, used for walleye
