I guess I can start here... David from Miami, Fl.... I started fishing heavy about 12+ years ago (saltwater) freshwater for the pass 6+ years or so..(local canals). and I love it!! we have a lot of canals down here none with specs (crappie)we have small brims (bluegills) but we do have big bass...Oscars and so on... So I named Lake Okeechobee my "Home lake" this Feb I purchased a new bass boat... Bass Tracker 175 TXW 2015 75HP love it... upgraded the fishfinder / GPS to a Garmin DV 7" and I'm in the works (very soon) to get a new trolling motor (motorguide Xi5) and a Lowrance Elite-7X CHIRP for my trolling motor... this year was my 1st time going to lake Okee.. and it was like twice a week or every other week...lol fishing for Brims.. Big Brims out of Slims fish camp... (Belle Glades, Fl) my wife and I was able to make a trip up to the northern part of the lake (Okeechobee City) and fish that area for Specs!!! and it was on!!! I also fished Lake Trafford it was nice and hot! was able to catch about 10 or so specs..Nevertheless, I love catching fish, eating fish and fishing. I look forward to learning a lot from the good people on this site...Thank you all for welcoming me...I also have plans on fishing the many Lakes in this great State of Florida....
