As I launched the boat in some pretty thick fog, I knew that the bite would be tough with all of the new water pouring into the lake. As i hit my go-to spot, I could tell right away that the fish werent going to cooperate. After 30 minutes or so of that, I motored across the lake in search of less fog and hungry fish! As soon as I dropped my jig into my new found brush pile I felt a lightning bolt THUMP and the battle was on!! 10 minutes later this ole sow slowly rolled up to the surface as I wracked my brain as to how I was going to get her into the boat!
I finally horsed her in and put her on the scale. 27 pound Big Mouth Buffalo on a 10' BnM Duck Commander jigging rod with 6lb Mr. Crappie line! My biggest fish ever caught on a jig pole.
Also got into a groove with the Crappie and started to put a few in the boat. This little snub nose Crappie was the first to play.Weird lookin little fella.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, as the bite was almost non existent for the next few hours, save the few that apparently didnt get the memo. :Rofl Attachment 221653Attachment 221654Attachment 221655
