Best place to put in upper end of Hickory?

Hi guys,
Planning on going back to Hickory tomorrow for striper and crappie. Always fish the lower end near the dam usually in Rinks dam area. Wanted to go to the other end tomorrow and try it in the river a little. Can you put in at the 321 marina? I could not find a number that worked to check? If not I am guessing gunpowder is probably the closest public landing. Thanks for any info.

Gunpowder is the closest but its in the back of the cove. Lovelady access is right on the main channel and not about 200 yards below gunpowder creek. Better access to me...

I wondered about that. It is a little farther, but looked like it might be a quicker and easier route to the bridge. Thanks

Just found out the upper end of Hickory is very muddy and full of trash.
