Verticle jigging a 1/8 jig/2" curly grub. Big uns all 9-11". I could not get my hand around them. Lots of fun on the ultralite.

Went out again Friday to do some more pan fishing. Found the school right away by the Condos. Started with the white grub on the 1/8 jig and did OK. Tried a white with red head tube and wow they liked that! Just dropping it down and leaving it still worked best. No biggies but caught about 15 gills from 8-9" and 3 11" Crappie. Then I lost the school and time to go. Pic does not show well the bright yellow breast on the gills.

So I am catching these fun 8-10 inchers. Is there a chance of there being some real nice ones in the same area/schools? Or are the larger ones more loners.
