Shelbyville dock walkers
Anybody walk the docks at Shelbyville?
Ive spent a lot of time at Crab and Rend walking the docks and now that I'm more centrally located (Effingham) I'd like to fish the docks at Shelbyville this winter.
Are there any marinas to fish from at Shelbyville? If so, which ones?

I know at Lithia Marina they have a gate that is kept lockup. If you have a boat slip they will give you a key so you can fish the docks if you don't what to take your boat out that day. Fox Harbor Marina doesn't have a lock gate but quit letting people fish (unless you have a boat slip) a few years ago. Findlay Marina has some good docks but there again I think its for slip patron's only.. I sure someone will chime in with some more info.

Yep, they don't like you to fish from the dock unless your a slip renter. Then again there is lots of great bank fishing. Just look for where all the cars are parked and chances are they are catching some fish. Just watch for the wind direction.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll put my pontoon on Shelbyville next year. Then I'll be able to fish all year long.

If you do get a slip, I would highly recommend Sullivan Marina. The fishing there is pretty darn good at times. There is alsoa restaurant there.

Is that the one with "Skeeter's" restaurant? Ate their last summer, good food. The views weren't bad either. Watched a tritoon with twin 300's idle by.
