I can't make the Darbonne gathering.

My Dad is not doing well, he will have a cat scan Tuesday, I am going to take advantage of having a hard to come by 3 day weekend and go visit with him. I will leave Fri early and come home Sun night. This is not a hard decision to make because I sure don't get to visit him like I used to. This will be the second gathering I have missed in all the years we have been doing this but as I always say "It is what it is".
Take a look at what I said I will bring, someone else will need to fill that need. Also take me out of the big fish pot.
I will make another post about my cabin.

We're sorry we won't get to see you again this year, but like you said, this would be an easy call to make. We'll be praying for your dad and for a safe trip for you and your family.

First off Steve sorry that you won't be able to make it and you will definetely be missed and we will be praying for your dad. Now with all that said, you sure you weren't just scared you would get run off the lake running that Alabama flag around on your boat?! Just kidding buddy, if there was ever a year you deserved to run around with that flag, it would be this year after the butt whipping yall gave us this year. We will miss you Steve!

I am sorry to hear about your father. And you are right, this would be an easy decision to make. May the Lord bless you and watch over you as you travel and may the Lord bless the visit with your father. I also pray that your father will be okay. You will be missed. I did not read this post before I saw where Shadow had deleted your name from the big fish pot.
