Local Hennepin Canal locks
I didn't feel like making the normal 50 mile run to lakes I like to fish so I tried a couple canal locks. I use my normal rods I likeAttachment 218411Attachment 218410Attachment 218409Attachment 218408 in 71/2' and 5 1/2' ULs .I picked out a couple jigs I tied with little "12 hooks, and tipped with wax worms. The bite was slow at time but got a few that were a bit better than the norm. This canal is silting in through heavy weed and algae growth. There used to be a pretty good population of eaters in these waters . It is still nice to get a tug on the line.
I enjoyed a few fillets from a previous outing at the table .Caesars salad with fillets was a strange marriage but still enjoyable.
