I am moving from a jon boat where I could reach down and lip a fish to a decked boat where I am going to need a long handled net. I am looking for suggestions. As with all my projects cost is a factor.

EGO NETS is all you need
Depends on which method you will using most of the time. For casting and single-poling, the Ego Reach will be fine. If you will be spiderrigging with 14' or longer poles, go with the Crappiemasters net. That thing will reach out and get em!
Just add on a handle(broom handle,sch.40 PVC pipe,extending painter's roller handle, etc.) to the net you have already.:twocents
I am not really sure if I need the longer net but I am leaning that way. I have googled "crappiemasters net" and only found a seemingly dead website - Mengo Ind - which has no reference to the net. Could you provide a source?Quote:

This is what I use too. I also put a 12" piece of pool noodle on the pole right behind the net. It helps hold the net right at the top of the water.Quote:
