Sitting in pigeon forge
At the Christmas place bored to tears thinking about my next fishing trip. The leaves were pretty coming across the mountains on the way up. But they are also pretty on Martin this time of year. As I grow older I'm more set in my ways and habits, I really do not enjoy traveling when the thump is on at my home lake. We have been catching a couple hundred a week for the last two weeks and I know this pattern will not linger much longer.
I've studied the weather channel as I sit patiently waiting on the wifey. I know I do not want to see this bill being the cashiers and workers know her on a first name basis and we live six hrs away. I believe I can squeeze a trip in late tomorrow or sat morning if we leave out at daybreak headed home.
Soooo who else is miserable when pulled away from there fishing trips in the heat of the season..... Am I just that obsessed or is it an addiction maybe . Instead of the local crank head , I am the local fisherman.

I know the feeling. I have to take my wife to Seaworld or Bush Gardens every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving. And the bite is on full blast every year. But I can give up one Saturday each year to go to a theme park I reckon. Rest of the year she would just as soon be in the boat or at the beach, so I will take the trade.

I am glad my Brenda likes fishing. She would be miserable if she didn't.

Lake Douglas is close-by :biggrin

I know how you feel buddy. The whether is not really good today so have fun with the wife and go fishing when you get home.

Oh WOW. Been invited out to
lake Douglas next time up. Excited

When my wife wants to go, she goes. She just got back from England. I would rather stay at home. Good thing about it, she pays for her trip herself. When she gets home, I ask her when she is leaving again.

Just got back from Daytona beach walked out on the pier everyday and watched em catch fish (to them) all i could think about was getn back and feeling the thump. I feel for ya

Gotta sacrifice for the wife every now and then or you'll never enjoy fishing again.
