Anybody have the Sam Heaton Super Sensitive? I have been hearing how light it is and would like to replace my 11' Ozark with something lighter. How is the backbone? I don't care for a whippy jig pole.

I purchased 2 recently. 10 footers. They are light, but will handle a good fish. I'm fishing mine with solo reels in shallow water only.
Funny you ask....I bought one 2 years ago. Was gonna start "jigging" more and lest "cast and retrieve...........NOT!! Still got it, but have yet to use it but a few times. Maybe I can get to Conway one of these years and pull in one of those SLABS!! :biggrin
Backbone don't compare to a Ozark !!!!!
Cmj - Randy does have a jiggin pole. I saw it one day. The problem is if he takes that 5' pole in the boat, its in his hand at the end of the day. I sure would like to put him on a day of jig fishin those cypress and pads. Maybe even the pool. Let us know when and we will make the trip. He's been working the last 21 days straight and needs a break.
Sam Heaton was my first jig pole that has eyes. Still have it today
I'll be out there tomorrow! Yall come on out and join the party!
I'll be dreaming about the slabs while in a meeting all day tomorrow. If Chris only catches small ones, then it is too early. If not, I will be out there the first chance I get!
I think I hijacked my own thread!
Any suggestions on a lightweight fast action rod in the 11-12 foot range?
