Nimrod and Ouachita - 10/28

Not sure why, but I just don't seem to be a picture taking person so I can only "report" what I did today (RCC is spitting his coca cola right about now...)

Got out on Nimrod in the lovely fog this morning and found the crappie suspended in the river channel about 10-15'. They seemed to like the black w/ red flake and gold tail tube before the storm blew us off the water.

Headed to Ouachita afterward and found them relating to brush in Blakley Creek about 4-6' deep in only 8' of water. They were having fun breaking up schools of small fry. Roadrunners with Berkley Power grubs were the ticket.

All I know is there are fillets in the fridge for tomorrow night's dinner! :woohoo

Good report. I'm having fillets for supper tomorrow but mine came out of the freezer. (Bummer)

I never think to take pictures either. But a good report just the same, thanks. dko, I know those fillets are gonna be though! Been there!

dko, sorry about the typo, I meant to say those fillets are gonna be "good" though. Should have proof read a little better.

I cooked some lake nimrod fish last night! I didn't post any pictures so you shld be fine! Yes RCC will drop a bomb on this thread.

You know I didn't even catch that typo. Guess the ol' brain just put it in there for you. :cheers2 I guess the thought of tasty crappie morsels were causing the brain to concentrate on the upcoming feast!
