Elite Series
Idk how many of you keep up with the Bassmaster Elite Series but I like to keep track a little bit. Just wondering why the Lake of the Ozarks can't get one of those tournaments. It was rated the 38th best bass fishing lake in the country, and there is plenty of water to fish. There are other huge bass tournaments fished there. I've read it is the 3rd deadliest body of water in the U.S. and the spectator boats would be crazy. That being said I've seen those guys fish the Great Lakes with swells engulfing their boats, and other tournaments where they have to shake the spectator boats off with a club. I just think the LOZ would be a huge draw for the Bassmasters with big sacks of fish.....any thoughts?

the only way you could do is to have it in the spring ,that is the only way to keep the anglers safe. the pleasure boaters on that lake get awful thick as the weather gets better and some dont pay as much attention as they need to and come way to close to fishing boats

id say it all boils down to money!

yes they would have to do it in March but I'd think they would make a lot of money at the LOZ

HH has it right, money is a big contributing factor. Comp rooms, meals, meeting halls, and event fees, etc. are part of what communities put together to bring a major event to their area.
