Harris 10-16-15

Make it to Harris around 6:30 yesterday. Took 7 dozen minnows this time. Slowed trolled in 20' water and only caught 6 or so before dark. At dark I put the lights in the water and things turned around. Ended with 45 crappie by 11pm when the minners were all gone. The class of fish was pretty good this time. I released all fish and had 8 around 14" and 1 that was almost 16". Caught everything in water that was 12' or shallower. Even caught a bunch in less than 6'. Here's one pic from last night. Plan to be back out tomorrow evening if all goes according to plan.

Nice looking slabs! Quick question, is the gas station off 64 near the jordan lake boat ramp the closet place to get minnows? I normally launch from the holliman ramp and come from north raleigh.

There's like 4 gas stations out near Jordan right off 64 that sell bait. If you're coming from North Raleigh then I would guess you would pass the stations at the corner of 64 and Beaver Creek Road. I typically launch at Ebenezer and that's where I get my bait.
Hollemans ramp is on Harris.
Have you tried Falls Lake? That lake is full of fish and would be right in your backyard.

Good job, I fished Saturday night and had some good luck I stayed in 20-25 fow got about dozen nice ones. had a lot of fun
