Signs of Fall on the Hill
My son paid a visit from Montgomery, AL and was itching to do some crappie fishing with his 'ole dad. We fished about 4 hours this morning on upper end of GA Little River and had 26 keepers total, and 10 were legitimate slabs. Caught a few on jigs, but most came on minnows fished over old submerged trees in 20-30 feet, with fish suspended 12-15 feet. Water temp warmed to 72 by noon. The cool down this weekend should put things in full Fall mode, an I expect the bite to pick up considerably over the next few weeks.
