Got to Douglas about 7:30 this morning and started pulling cranks. Had an 11 1/2 and a 13 incher within the first 15 mins. Gonna be a good day! Then, about 9 o'clock...Hurricane Hugo swept across the lake. Tried some less windy coves, but couldn't find any fish there. The bait seemed to be more towards the main channel today and so were the crappie. Most fish I marked were 18-22' deep and water temp was anywhere from 64-68 degrees. Had enough by 11 am and headed home to clean 7 for Lake Crisco.

Thanks for the report. Found a few in the mouth of Flat Creek Saturday trolling cranks.
Thought about coming there on my vacation last of the month is it a good crappie lake And how will.the bass fishing be
It was ranked around 30th in the nation's best crappie lakes recently. I've always done well there even when I can't catch em anywhere else. I've heard the topwater bite for bass is really good right now, but I've not fished for them.
