Clinton Marina Fishing 10 - 13

I went crappie fishing this morning.
I was using a ultra light rod / reel with a small white hair jig.
Crappie fishing was super slow.

Chatt had a hold of a Hugh buffalo for awhile. Just about the time I had my camera turned on, It got off.

I set my rod down to take a phone call.
After I finished my call, I noticed my line was move slowly off to one side of the boat slip.
So I grabbed my rod. Holly crap the battle was on.
My drag was screaming like a baby.
My rod was bent so far over I thought it would snap. :yikes
Finally after about 10 minutes this big blue cat got tired and came to the surface.
With the help of a Chatt, we got this cat onto the dock.
What a super fun day of fishing.

Thanks Rick for the fish donation...Chatt and I split the fillets (thanks for cleaning it Chatt)...I fried it up thursday and it was very good...just like I had heard blue cats are one of the best eating catfish (maybe the best)..my wife and I enjoyed it!:highfive

To bad I did not get Chatt on video battling the HUGH buffalo he had on. That fish would have taken 2 of us to get it up on the dock.:highfive
