Make sure you go to LazyOnes for the meat pies. There is a place where all the shops are also, can't remember the name, it was at the beginning of the shops. The only thing we had there that was good was the mini meat pie appetizers, the rest of the food - I believe I can do a better job cooking.
Thx Shadow. The Misses is actually going there for a rehearsAl dinner I believe.
Just stopped in Alexandria and grabbed a few pckgs of crawfish boudin to smoke when I get home.
Check out Fort St. Jean Baptiste state park and Kaffy Fredrick's hardware store on Front Street.
I second Tbone on the fort if you have time to tour it. We took the kids and found it a very interesting place to visit.
Grayson's BBQ in Clarence, just out of Natchitoches heading toward Winnfield, LA. At red light in Clarence turn left.
Everything they cook is good
If you have time check out Melrose Plantation about 19 miles south of Natchitoches off Hwy. 1.
Sorry for the late reply. The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame is well worth a look. Near the shops along the water front.
