Our pond was spared but now we took out boards before hand. We took out 3 boards well before the storm hit, 1 on Thursday and 2 Friday morning. What I don't understand is the pond above ours a family that lives right beside it asked the people who live on that pond to please lower their pond. Which this same family has had their yard/house flooded by this same pond twice already along with another house across the street. Well I was told the response she got was they didn't like how the pond looks when it is lowered. Why do people have to be like this all they had to do was lower it and when everything had passed through let the pond back up. That's our plan of what were doing. I've also heard that the creek that our pond feeds to has been dammed up down stream. Which may explain why the water was about to or did over the night go over the road. I'm sure though if something broke I would have gotten blamed for it even though we had done I believe everything we could have done. I just thought something of this size to hit us that people would work together boy I was wrong. I'm sorry had to let it off my chest. I just don't understand people sometimes and now I'm now done.
