Anyone ever tried these down here ? I used larger sizes when back trolling in rivers for salmon and steelhead in the northwest. Don't see why crappie wouldn't like them, talk about wobble !

They ought to work......I have some of them just never tried them for crappie. Think I will tho.
i used them for trolling for trout in the midwest. they were dynamite. used fly rod size in red. tried them trolling down here in florida fly rod size red, silver, and another color i forget. nothing. never a bite. also tried little dick nite spoons which were great up north for trout and other species, but nothing here for crappie trolling.
Man I use to fish those things and a similar one called a lazy Ike.Caught a lot of fish on them but can't say I ever caught crappie on them...but I never used them to target crappie by using trolling .
The very first bait I ever heard about for trolling for crappie...it was in the late 60's maybe 70 or so (1960's that is) was the hot shot.

Always like to burn a Lazy Ike when I fished for bass. Did catch some crappies slow retrieving and always liked the action/wiggle.
first crappie I caught on an artificial was a lazy ike. Only about 50 years ago. I can picture it like it was yesterday. Now, yesterday I haven't the foggiest idea what I did.
I caught crappie pushing those small chrome Rattle Traps off the front of the boat
