I'm looking for some idea's to make my boat quieter. I have a 15'46" aluminum boat with plywood for my floor. I need something I can put under the plywood to make it quit. I was thinking about putting some kind of spray in liner are something like that but I'm worried that if I did that then water would not be able make it to the drain. ???:scratchhead

I don't think spray in liner would help much in making it quieter. I would get some of that 1/2 in thick blue sold foam insulation and cut sections to fit between rib's. Put a spot or two of silicone o stick it in place and leave a gap in middle for drain. That insulation is pretty waterproof.
How about putting the blue foam on top of the ribs to insulate the plywood from the hull if you are talking about the sounds you make in moving around the boat or dropping thigks on the floor. If you're talking about water noise from the waves hitting the bottom the putting the foam as Cray suggested would help a little. You could also get some of those foam or gel filled work mats that make standing for long periods more bearable, those should absorb sound fairly well.

jig rig......went fishing with him and he taught me well....I probably did not learn enough...any how...I did observe him....he ain't worried about no noise.....and he is a darn good fisherman.....Makes me wonder how noisy Rangergogetter is.....?????Quote:
