I am looking to get a new jigging rod and I would like some recommendations or input on what some of you fellas use. I currently have 2-5' UL Falcon bucoos( one of which snapped in two, in the process of getting it replaced on warranty) and a 4'6" light Pro Angler. I havent tried anything so far that comes close to my bucoos on sensitivity. If anyone has any suggestions on a rod rated for 1/64th or lower jig weights.
You may want to post this on the main crappie board as way more people will see and reply to this. Personally I do not use a rod rated that low even though I have one! My favorite is a custom made rod and my 2nd favorite is a St. Croix 7' model AS 70 MLF.
Sorry bout that, just thought I would get a little better input from the crappie jig crafters. I havent tried anything over 6'. I mainly just fish a local marina, long poles and ceilings dont mix very well lol.
No need to apologize at all, I just think more guys will reply there since there are a lot more people that read that board. It's the most busy by far!
Your correct about long poles and ceilings, they do not mix well at all. I even have trouble under a bridge I fish every once in a while. However most of my fishing is long line trolling especially in the spring. However in summer I still use same poles and sometimes use the 10' in all times of the year. There are some great advantages with a longer pole, but the short poles have their place and I have a couple of them as well, just don't use them much.

You may also want to look under panfish I think a lot of those guys use that lite a jig.
St. Croix makes a nice rod , I have a 6'6" one piece Premier series ultra light . I usually fish 2 1/64 oz bobby garland itty bitty swimmers on it and have great results .
I built a 7' St Croix 2-piece UL Avid that's the cats meow for tossing light weight jigs a mile. Sensitive too.
