Newbie Game Wardens
I did not get to go Dove Hunting on opening day due to having my grandkids here and we could not get their hunter certification done it time. We went fishing but that is another post.
My friends were telling me the game wardens ticketed several of them for not having the migratory bird permit. Problem is, if you are a senior and have the Senior Lifetime license, like these guys did, you are not required to have the permit. My friend called DNR on Tuesday and the lady he spoke to apologized for the mistake and said she would speak to the Captain over that area.(Lexington)
So if any of your are in that category, be forewarned. I knew this without a doubt and had I been there I would have insisted the GW pull the regulations and I could have shown him where it states the rule about Senior Licenses. Would have saved him some trouble and embarrassment.

All that migratory stuff is just in another category when it comes to uptight law enforcement.I lost a lot of interest in hunting the stuff over it. I have a john boat I bought from a young man in Illinois who had to have the money to pay a lawyer. He got busted by a young Agent for hunting over a baited field for geese.Young man claimed it was just stuff the combine left in a corn field,it was sparse and scattered and just normal farming stuff....but it was costing him and two buddies 10 grand to defend themselves.

The young guys think they know more than we old guys ever knew? Well, they may since I can't remember how much I forgot!!!!!!:dono
