Granted I'm from Kansas and not used to clear water lakes. Anyone have any ideas on how to fish them and any particular color that works for you...I seem to struggle on the clear lake and not sure what to do. Thanks

I think the fish tend to be spookier in clear water. I also think they hang out deeper in clear water lakes. If you are fishing brush piles try to stay farther back away from the piles and cast a weed less jig into them. I have found that lighter colored baits work best in clear water, such as pearl or some type of salt and pepper. The weed less jig heads I use are Timmy Tom jig heads. Hope this helps!

Odie is spot on! Colors that work well for me are salt n pepper, blue thunder, sun perch. Deeper is usually the key. Right now we are catching about 17' deep in 30 fow. Wintertime it will be 40/65.
Thanks guys.....could be why I struggle I might not be deep enough. I'm fishing eucha and granted don't fish it often but it's clear...and just brush piles. Appreciate your input.. I'll let you know how it goes this weekend.

Look for standing timber if you cant find brush deep enough.....check channel banks
